Obituary for John Edwin Tweedy

Chandler, IN – John Edwin Tweedy, age 67, of Chandler, Indiana passed away on September 1, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital, Evansville, Indiana.
He was born on November 3, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of the late Edwin and Dorothy “Grimm” Tweedy.
John owned Tweedy’s Body Shop in Chandler and appreciated antique cars and tractors. He belonged to the Old Time Auto Club, St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tri-State Model-A Club, Canal Odd Fellows #209, Stranger’s Rest Masonic Lodge #240, Scottish Rite and Hadi Shrine, Boonville Elks Lodge and Boonville Sons of the American Legion Post 200.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Tweedy; children, Michael Tweedy, Angie (Mark) Sandage, Becky Hay; grandsons, Jacob and Jarrett Sandage brother, Tom (Stephanie) Tweedy; aunt, Millicent Ellerbusch; and two nieces.
He is preceded in death by his daughter; Cheryl Warren and her family.
Services are 10 A.M. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana. Burial will be at Center Cemetery in Chandler.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the funeral home. During the visitation a memorial service conducted by the Canal Oddfellows will be held at 6 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheryl Hay Warren Family Scholarship and St. John’s United Church of Christ.
