KENNETH “TOT” NELSON

Chandler, IN – Kenneth “Tot” Nelson, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018 surrounded by his family.
"Tot" was born in Ayshire, Indiana on April 29, 1920 to the late Bert and Sarah (Lee) Nelson.
Kenneth had served in the United States Army Air Corps as a pilot in World War II. Following his service, he went into education and taught around the Evansville area. He was a teacher and successful Athletic Hall of Fame basketball coach. He retired from Castle H.S. in 1983.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen (Winkler) Nelson; Brothers, Lowell and Chub Nelson.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Nelson of Chandler, IN; Daughter, Jan Taylor (Royce) of Pine Bluff, AR; Grandchildren, Tom Westfall (Sarah) of Clinton, AR; Patrick Westfall (Jacquie) of Walnut Creek, CA; Great-grandchildren, Ryan, Luke and Owen Westfall; Sister, Bertha Lee Mosley of Decatur, IL., and countless extended family and friends.
Services are 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Living Word Christian Church at 3888 IN-261, Newburgh, IN 47630.
Visitation is from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the church in Newburgh.
Koehler Funeral Home-Perigo Chapel of Chandler, Indiana is entrusted with care.
