MELBA LEA WILSON

Boonville, IN. – Melba Lea Wilson, 81, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
Melba was born in Boonville, Indiana on December 7, 1936 to the late Oswald and Olive (Brown) Charlton.
Melba graduated from Boonville High School in 1954, after which she attended the Deaconess School of Nursing. Once Melba had raised her children, she managed the dental office of her husband, Dr. James D. Wilson.
Melba dedicated her life to creating a beautiful home and family life. Her greatest joy was nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom are grateful for two of her most precious gifts – she gave us roots and she gave us wings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dr. James D. Wilson; brother, Charlie Charlton;
Melba is survived by her children, Deborah Rudisill and her husband, Pat of Boonville, IN; Brad Wilson and his wife, Kim of Jasper, IN; Donna Price of Boonville, IN; Blake Wilson and his wife, Bridget of Trinity, FL; Julie Goodman and her husband, Wade of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Luke Rudisill (Ashley), Lanie Rudisill, Brant Wilson, Pete Wilson, Hailey McKinley (Tanner), Emily Cole (Nathan), Sarah Bogan (Scott), Joseph Price, Jaime Arto, Rich Arto, Allisen Goodman, Alexis Branch, Lauren Branch, Grason Goodman; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Stella, and Vivian Rudisill, Karlie and Kaden Cole, sister, Donna Crews of Rockford, IL; sister-in-law, Donna Wilson of Boonville, IN; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephens and the Oncology Hematology Associates staff, North River Health Campus, and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.
Services will be 3 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastor Scott Westerman officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana.
Visitation will be 12 P.M. until 3 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the funeral home.
