Obituary for Phyllis E. Curtis

Dale, IN – Phyllis E. (Bruce) Curtis, age 70, of Dale, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Evansville, Indiana.
She was born on July 3, 1948 in Huntingburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late James and Marion (Isaac) Bruce.
Phyllis loved cooking and baked the most delicious pies you’d ever eat! She prepared a lot of meals over the 22 years she spent working at Stone’s restaurant for many people.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold Curtis; children, Sonny (Christina) Curtis, James (fiancée, Makenzie) Curtis, Melodee (John) Gilpatrick, Kimberly Curtis; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Brenda Madison, Marsha Wicks, Mary Jo Cambell, Debbie Russell, Linda Gardner; 3 brothers, Marvin Bruce, Steve Bruce, Eddie Bruce; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhonda Curtis; and brother, Darrell Bruce.
Services are 12 P.M. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana. Burial will be at Garrison Cemetery in Tennyson, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
