Koehler Funeral Home of Boonville and Chandler, Indiana dedicated their new Veteran’s Memorial Garden at the Boonville location over Independence Day. In addition to being a quiet place for families to reflect the memorial will be used for military funeral honors. The new Veteran’s Memorial Garden features a flag pole and beautiful American granite memorial standing nearly six feet. The memorial has engraved all branches of the United States Armed Forces. One of its primary functions is to be used as a focal point and most suitable location for military honors in the event a veteran has been cremated. At the conclusion of a memorial service the veteran’s urn will be placed in the center of the memorial and the Warrick County Veteran’s Memorial Service will provide military honors. This will include firing of rifles, presenting the United States flag and the playing of Taps. The Veteran’s Memorial Garden is a beautiful addition and will be used by our area veterans for many years to come.
